Career Connections was designed to help students understand how classroom studies are related to companies and careers in our own backyard. Just imagine, a student wanting to see how their science studies can relate to a healthcare career. On the other hand, maybe someone in the drama club will be surprised at how their ability to keep their composure in front of an audience makes them the perfect candidate as a training presenter in the business world.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to having the proper motivation toward our studies. Many students may not realize it, but every successful person started as an ordinary student, sometimes making mistakes, even missing a couple of assignments. However, somewhere along the way, they discovered that so much of what they learned, really was a great beginning to finding out what kind of job would truly capture their interest. Although they may have learned that lesson later, you can begin now to understand just what is out there for you.

The world is full of high school football or volleyball players who learned teamwork, later combining that with coursework which opened many doors down the road. Actually, the after school club that you have been meeting with, may be the perfect training for getting along with others and completing group projects; valuable skills in the world of work.
